Sustainable Development Objectives

Introduction:

Based on the role of the General Civil Aviation Authority in enhancing the competitiveness and growth of the civil aviation sector in the United Arab Emirates and promoting sustainable development objectives, GCAA works on monitoring sustainable development objectives and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and KPIs. This report includes an analysis that demonstrates the strategic linkage.​

Linkage between Sustainable Development Objectives and Strategic Indicators: An analysis was conducted to illustrate the objectives and indicators of sustainable development, and efforts were made to identify the data that supports and monitors sustainable development objectives.


Sustainable Development Objectives & Contribution:

GCAA directly or indirectly contributes to a number of sustainable development Objectives, and efforts have been made to analyze​ and link these indicators with the strategy. GCAA contributes to [10] Objectives of sustainable development.

  1. Objective (3): Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages​
  1. Objective (4): Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all​
  1. Objective (8): Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
  1. Objective (9): Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
  1. Objective (10): Reduce inequality within and among countries
  1. Objective (11): Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
  1. Objective (12): Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
  1. Objective (13): Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

  1. Objective (16): Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
