Day-to-day Administration:

  • Provide a full range of administrative support to the DG, including manage and maintaining records of all incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, documentations, translation of correspondence to Cabinet Secretariat/PMO and supporting DG in prepare presentations, reports and meetings.
  • Plan and coordinate the DG’s agenda and calendar of events with respective parties.
  • Provide logistical/protocol support for Chairman/DG only.

Task Management:

  • On behalf of the Chairman and the DG, follow-up and coordinate day to day tasks cascaded to different Sectors/Departments.
  • Follow up and coordinate closely with GCAA business units and various external parties on items requested by the DG.
  • Distribute and publish all official decrees and approved documents to GCAA business units on behalf of the DG.
  • Liaise with ‘Strategy and International Affairs’ sector on all official communications and events relevant to the DG.
  • Manage Board activities i.e. agenda, invites, meeting minutes, follow-ups, etc.

Support on Boards/Committees:

  • Coordinate the establishment of internal GCAA Committees (as directed by the DG) as well as external national level committees.
  • Follow-up and review GCAA committee charter, agenda and schedule for those that are chaired by the Chairman/DG.
  • Based on GCAA role in external committees, coordinate actions that need to be undertaken by GCAA and its associated Sectors/Departments.

Interface Management:

  • Coordinate Chairman and DG interface with regional and international Aviation entities (e.g. ACAO and ACAO member countries).
  • Operate as focal point between Cabinet Secretariat/Prime Minister’s Office/Cabinet entities, etc. (as required) on behalf of the DG.
  • Operate as focal point between Gulf Countries Council Secretariat and Chairman/DG.
