​International Cooperation and Leadership

The Air Accident Investigation Sector (AAIS) is a committed member of key international aviation safety and investigation platforms, underscoring its leadership and active contribution to global aviation safety enhancement:

1. International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI)

As an active member of ISASI, AAIS participates in international dialogues and in​itiatives aimed at improving air accident investigation practices. Through regular involvement in ISASI events, working groups, and knowledge-sharing forums, the Sector contributes to advancing investigative methodologies and promoting a safety-first culture in aviation worldwide.

2. Middle East and North Africa Regional Cooperation Mechanism (MENA RCM)

AAIS plays a strategic role within MENA RCM, collaborating with regional counterparts to harmonize investigation procedures, share best practices, and address region-specific safety challenges. This cooperation enhances the capacity of regional investigation bodies and supports a unified approach to aviation safety in the MENA region.

3. ICAO Accident Investigation Group Panel (AIGP)

AAIS is an influential contributor to the ICAO AIGP, where it engages in the development and review of global standards and recommended practices (SARPs) for aircraft accident and incident investigations. Through its expert participation, the Sector helps shape international policy and strengthen the global investigation framework.

Through these memberships and engagements, the Air Accident Investigation Sector demonstrates its leadership and unwavering commitment to international collaboration, continuous improvement, and the promotion of aviation safety worldwide.​
