Arriving flights, including those flights intending to participate in the Airshow, shall plan to touch down prior to the Airport closure timings specified in Table-1.

1. AIR TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS DURING PERIODS OF CLOSURE

Except for those aircraft participating in the Airshow, and for the purpose of practicing and validating displays, OMDW - DUBAI / AL MAKTOUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and AL MAKTOUM CTR 1 and AL MAKTOUM CTR 2 will be closed for transit, landings and take-offs for all aircraft during Airport closure timings specified in Table-1.

  1. Arriving traffic:

  2. Departing traffic:
    1. Traffic scheduled to depart during the Practice or Validation closures will have their start-up delayed until reopening or immediately prior to reopening.
    2. While display aircraft are carrying out Practice or Validation flights, other aircraft taxiing for departure will be held clear of the ‘Display Box’.
  3. Training and VFR flights:

A large formation of aircraft is scheduled to take place in a Flypast activity associated with the Airshow opening ceremony, which will also include the rehearsal prior to the main event. As a result, there will be airspace restrictions in place for non-participating aircraft by reason of the intended holding and eventual dispersal of a number of military and civil Flypast display aircraft operating in the DUBAI CTA V, VI, VII and VIII. Details will be promulgated by NOTAM, confirming dates and timings.
