Established in 2006, the UAE Permanent Mission to ICAO in Montreal serves as the UAE Permanent Diplomatic Mission to ICAO.
Since having won the election in 2007, the UAE is one of the member States that are part of the Council. The UAE Permanent Mission strives to raise UAE’s profile in international civil aviation by increasing UAE’s visibility and promoting UAE’s participation.
In addition, the mission seeks to promote UAE technical experts’ participation in specialized technical venues, enhance liaison between UAE and ICAO, and to take a leading role in air navigation, safety, security, and environmental matters, in order to ensure that the ICAO takes into account the interests and concerns of the UAE civil aviation sector and UAE industry stakeholders.
