The United Arab Emirates – General Civil Aviation Authority participated in the 13th international aviation conference in Canada scheduled in the International Civil Aviation Organization -ICAO’s headquarters in Montreal- Canada.
Many workshops and seminars were presented by the GCAA during the international event to discuss important issues including the Global Aviation Strategy, improving the aviation system, the roles played by regional planning groups, organizational issues and operation risks in aviation safety and share benchmark knowledge and global improvement strategies.
The UAE- GCAA –during the conference- signed three memos of understanding, firstly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in aviation services, secondly with GCAA and SERG international company to conduct researches on introducing and improving artificial intelligence in the aviation traffic control and thirdly with FREQUENTIES international company to strengthen GCAA role in Air Traffic Control.
Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi- the Director General of GCAA said, “GCAA is always keen to take part in such conferences to exchange views and experiences with experts in the aviation sector participating in the conference and to provide the best services and technologies used in Aviation”.
GCAA’s participation in the Aviation conference in Canada was met with a positive response from all participating bodies and the GCAA pledged to work towards the implementation of the recommendations discussed.
