  • Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with GCAA and UAE objectives.
  • Ensure all GCAA activities comply with UAE laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert legal advice to the Director General and GCAA business units to ensure the rights and interests of GCAA are safeguarded and limiting exposure to legal risk.
  • Represent GCAA in legal proceedings, including disputes with third parties.
  • Protect GCAA's interests in judicial and administrative processes.
  • Draft, review, and approve GCAA regulations and ensure that they are aligned with the national and international law, in coordination with the concerned business units.
  • Provide legal input into Memorandum of Understanding’s (except AIR Transport agreements), Non-Commercial Agreements with other states/entities, and Binding Agreements with other states/entities in context of legal interpretation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect GCAA's interests. Review and approve these contract forms once finalized before release for signature.
  • Advise on GCAA’s legal and contractual rights in case of Vendor breach of contract or any contractual claim raised by Vendor.
  • Ensure compliance with internal corporate policies and practices, and legal requirements.
  • Represent GCAA in international legal forums and collaborations.
  • Participate in and provide approvals, where required, during committee meetings, ensuring decisions are made within the relevant laws and regulations.
