AD 1.4 Grouping of aerodromes / heliports

1.4.1. The criteria applied in grouping civil aerodromes for the purposes of providing information required by the integrated aeronautical information package are as detailed below.
1.4.2. International airports
1.4.2.1 Airports provided with ATS available H24 for international operations. Information is provided according to the format specified in Annex 15.
1.4.2.2 Series A NOTAM are issued.
1.4.3. National airports - Primary
1.4.3.1 Airports provided with ATS available H24 for operations. Information is provided according to the format specified in Annex 15.
1.4.3.2 Series A NOTAM are issued.
1.4.4. National airports - Secondary
1.4.4.1 Airports not provided with ATS and not necessarily available H24 for operations. Information is provided in an abbreviated format to that specified in Annex 15.
1.4.4.2 Series B NOTAM are normally issued.

Note: The absence of NOTAM should not be taken to signify availability of a facility or aerodrome serviceability.

1.4.4.3 Only information which can directly be attributed to a responsible source is disseminated.
1.4.5. Authorised aerodromes
1.4.5.1 Aerodromes, land or water, that are authorised for use by UAE registered aircraft with a maximum take off weight of 5700 KG or less under specified conditions. It is the responsibility of the pilot in command to ensure the surface is appropriate for the operational requirements of the aircraft.
1.4.5.2 Authorised aerodromes are not provided with ATS and not necessarily available H24 for operations. Information in the AIP is provided in an abbreviated format to that specified in Annex 15.
1.4.5.3 Series B NOTAM are normally issued.
