The Middle East Regional Civil Aviation Security Forum – Abu Dhabi – June 2010

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) hosted the Middle East Regional Civil Aviation Security Forum in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in June 2010 at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage, and in the presence of, H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA. 

This regional Forum, held under the theme "Civil Aviation Security Threats and Risks", attended by ministers in charge of civil aviation and directors-general of civil aviation authorities, who discussed and adopted consistent and compatible strategies to address the challenges and threats to civil aviation. The forum issued "Abu Dhabi Joint Declaration" to set a global strategy and key principles and standards to deal with aviation security challenges.
